World's Largest LAN Party

A record breaking crowd squeezed into the LAN party this year - the reason for that huge line.  Once finally inside, hardcore PC gamers set up their rigs and started a marathon gaming session that lasted for several days.  With the lights set to minimum, the glowing LCDs in modded cases and huge flat screens really popped.  It was quite a sight to take in.

Some gamers stood out as they whiled away the hours, like this guy that somehow lugged a huge monitor inside. I'm pretty sure this thing is bigger than the TV in my living room.

Others were sporting some impressive personalized gaming rigs, like this unconventional case. There were tons of glowing, liquid cooled numbers, which started to feel passé after walking up and down the aisles.

This display was set out in a walkway to really get some attention.  Why Hulk and Thor are involved in some slimy escapade wasn't clear, but nobody cared.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Review

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
