PB & Jason Issue 14: Scribblenauts

All right, folks. This is it. The last podcast where I spend any real lengthy focus on Scribblenauts, Super Scribblenauts, and any 5th Cell work for the foreseeable future.

It begins with a more personal opinion of Super Scribblenauts and the flaws therein, elaborating on points made in my review.

After a brief break, though, I transition to what happened before Super Scribblenauts, back to the hype around the original title, and analyze a brief snippet of an interview Joystiq had with Jeremy Slaczka. In this particular issue, most of the podcast was done without notes, but what was used can be found here, along with a random compilation of various Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts links.

No tasty babies were harmed during the making of this podcast.

Can you summon "R-E-S-P-E-C-T"?

No podcast tonight, folks. Friday is possible, keep an eye on the forum thread and I'll keep you all up to date.

it was the '...and then i tossed it in the garbage, cuz that's what you do with unneeded babies, right?' part

I suppose I should have said "unwanted." My mistake. I'll take the blame.

If it helps, after reading my review, Kathrine noted to me all the stuff about tasty babies made her hungry.

After a while, every time Jason said Scribblenauts all I heard was the word hate, lol. That was like the longest rant ever... maybe. I have had long rants, but yours takes the cake. Nick needs to appoint Jason as the one to interview Mr. Slaczka.

Unfortunately, I'd probably ask questions in the interview.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Review

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
