PB & Jason Issue 56: A Solution

This week's PB & Jason revolves around a real solution for Nintendo and its current market problems.

While there's a lengthy discussion of how I believe Nintendo can genuinely find an audience in today's video game marketplace, don't be fooled: PB & Jason has a lot more than that!

First up on the podcast is a mini-synopsis of StarFox 64 3D. I've bought the game, I've played through it once, I've tried the multiplayer. What do I think about it? Find out inside!

Next up, some talk about the big 3DS pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference occurs. There's not much to say here, but expectedly, I poke fun at Square Enix's newly announced, upcoming 3DS game's name. Also, Mario Tennis 3DS!

Following this, we hear a bit about the big Sony pre-TGS press conference! It's the Vita's turn, come Dec. 17th in Japan, so of course I've got something to say.

And then there's the feature story. A real, long-term solution to Nintendo's issues with adoption rates, and how Nintendo can cut it in today's cell phone-filled world without resorting to producing cell phone games. Tune in and find out what I have to say inside!

Sony has their own shop app on the way. I don't think Sony thinks they can keep making their own hardware for too long into the future.

In Memory of Michael Alvarado

When 1up started the process of shutting down, there was one person who seemed to lead to charge to congregate the community in a single place. After his first visit here, it wasn't long before a slew of new members arrived. The site came alive and the real story of PixlBit began - the one that involves all of you. The person I'm referring to is, of course, Michael Alvarado, otherwise known as Michael117.
