Platinum Games Unveils Project P-100

Nintendo was holding back at their conference, it appears.

Platinum Games - developers of Bayonetta, Madworld and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance - unveiled their first foray onto the Nintendo Wii U in the tentatively titled Project P-100.  The game was demoed live on Spike TV shortly after the conclusion of Nintendo’s E3 press conference.

In a familiar scenario, gamers will be asked to save the world from an alien invasion through the guise of one of the game’s many super heroes.  Of course, this is a job that is too big for just one hero to succeed, and as such you’ll seek to add to your stable of heroes by liberating citizens across the various game landscapes.

The game’s cartoonish styling may seem like a big departure for the studio that brought us Bayonetta, but the fast and fluid action should be familiar to fans of the studio’s work.

Project P-100 is a Nintendo Wii exclusive and will take advantage of the console’s unique GamePad. No release date or window was given.  We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
