New DLC for Quantum Conundrum Incoming

Continue the puzzle adventure later this summer.

Quantum Conundrum is the next brain child of Kim Swift, one of the people behind the original Portal. Our own Nick DiMola reviewed it recently, and if you were still on the fence on the title, Square Enix is ready to sweeten the pot with some new DLC.

The two content packs—titled The Desmond Debacle and IKE-aramba!—will be rolling out for Steam, PSN, and XBLA over the rest of the summer. The Desmond Debacle arrives on Steam July 31, with PSN and XBLA versions hitting on August 14 and 15, respectively. IKE-aramba! arrives August 28 on Steam, and September 11 and 12 on the other formats. Both add-ons will be priced at 2.99, or 240 Microsoft Points.

The Desmond Debacle sees players exploring a new wing of Qwadrangle Manor, with some help from Desmond the drinking bird. IKE-arumba! is said to be an all-new adventure, tasking gamers to rescue IKE. That would be the Inter-Dimensional Kinetic Entity, for the uninitiated. There’s no word on whether John de Lancie reprises his role as Dr. Qwadrangle, but fingers crossed.

Get ready to fire up your Inter-Dimensional Shift Device once again in these DLC packs that should add hours of brain-teasing content to Quantum Conundrum.

About The Desmond Debacle
In The Desmond Debacle, the first puzzle pack, gamers will power up the Inter-Dimensional Shift Device for a brand new adventure deep in an unexplored wing of the labyrinthine Quadwrangle Manor. Old friend Desmond, the drinking bird, offers up even more brain-twisting and complex puzzles for hours of inter-dimensional puzzle solving.

About IKE-aramba!
In IKE-aramba!, the second puzzle pack, gamers are charged with rescue duty once again, but instead of a missing uncle, this time the victim is IKE (Interdimensional Kinetic Entity)! In this all-new adventure, players will have to rescue IKE and leap seemingly endless chasms while traveling through a newly discovered wing of Quadwrangle Manor.

ABOUT QUANTUM CONUNDRUM
In Quantum Conundrum, players take on the role of a young boy dropped off on his uncle’s doorstep for the weekend; his uncle just so happens to be the brilliant, eccentric inventor, Professor Fitz Quadwrangle. Upon entering the Professor’s vast manor home, retrofitted with crazy technology to test his latest hypotheses, players quickly realize their uncle has gone missing. Fortunately, players immediately find Professor Quadwrangle’s latest invention, the Inter-Dimensional Shift (IDS) Device, which, at the press of a button, can shift the world around them to a different dimension. In order to find their uncle, players use the IDS to dynamically alter between five dimensions and progress through bizarre and challenging rooms in the labyrinthine Quadwrangle Manor. Becoming adept at using the various dimensions – sometimes in combination – will be critical to solving puzzles and moving on to the next room.

Quantum Conundrum is rated E for Everyone with Comic Mischief. Please visit the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website at www.esrb.org for more information about ratings.
