PB & Jason Issue 98: Elusive Albino Controllers

I very much want one of those white GameCube controllers, and I'm not completely sure why!

This week's PB & Jason deals with stores. Online stores specifically. Online stores and odd things with box arts, pricings, and, of course, the white GameCube controller I've recently discovered. Beyond that, there's mention of the upcoming PAX Prime, coming next weekend. PlayStation Vita firmware updates abound, as well. Now you can play PlayStation titles on your PSV! Oh, that's if it's on a specific list of nine games or you have a PlayStation 3 to send over some games. Also, the ability comes at the cost of one PSN account per PSV memory card. Wuh oh. Click through for the download and streaming links!

The Olympic Games - minus the athletes you care about and the skill.

The Olympics has been a tradition around the world for generations. This year, the Olympics were held in London, England where it earned the achievement of being the most viewed Olympics of all-time. The idea of being able to compete against other athletes from around the world to determine the best of each sport has been a driving force for many athletes their entire life. This year, Sega had the honor of virtually representing these games as London '12, giving players a chance to compete for their country against friends and online users alike in a variety of games and events. Unfortunately, rapid button-pressing with a lack of emphasis on skill isn't representative of this notable and important worldwide sporting event.

Tour de 64: Dark Rift

A rift of mediocrity.

As the first fighting game appearing exclusively on the Nintendo 64, Dark Rift is expectedly as barebones as they come. Perhaps if it took advantage of the system's added power it could have made a name for itself, but instead it's practically no different from the fighters on previous systems. In my case, it may be a good thing the game lacks content; I'm no fan of the genre so at least I don't have to play this one much.
