Naruto Shippuden: Naruto vs. Sasuke Review

Naruto fights against Naruto in a Naruto-filled Naruto action Naruto game. Spoiler Alert: Naruto is in this game.

I had a bit of fun playing Naruto Shippuden: Naruto vs. Sasuke. I'd call it an all-around action game. There's a lot of platforming, some fighting, a few hidden passageways, ninja stars and kunais, over-the-top special attacks, and boss fights. I don't know if action games get more “action-y” than that.

Mario Sports Mix Heading to North America February 7th

Expect to see the latest addition to the Mario sporting line-up sooner than originally planned.

Following rumors of an early February launch, Nintendo confirmed Mario Sports Mix will be available on February 7th in North America. The new release date comes as a slight surprise, as when the game was unveiled at E3 Nintendo suggested it was a title that would reach the US in the Spring of 2011 rather than in Winter.

X-Men Arcade Review

"Welcome to Review!"

Magneto, we meet again - only this time, I don’t need quarters to beat you. Your hordes of henchman and sub-bosses with cheap unblockable attacks - no longer a threat to my allowance! Having to conserve my wonderful, room clearing mutant attacks that eat into my life energy - not this time. You’re getting beaten down as many times as I want, and I only have to spend $10 once, as an electronic transaction. The day is mine!

God of War: Ghost of Sparta Review

Another quality addition to the popular series that sticks closely to its tried-and-true formula.

This year has been a big one for God of War fans, with the release of the highly anticipated third edition of the series, God of War III, and now a brand new adventure, Ghost of Sparta. The new title features a great story that offers some rare insight into Kratos' background, driving forward a fast-paced quality adventure that the series is known for. Though the title is a bit short and doesn't expand upon the usual God of War formula, die-hard fans will undoubtedly be thrilled by the familiar experience.

Jason Ross's Games Not to Give for Christmas and the Holidays

It's no surprise my list is populated with licensed titles.

My “Don't Gift!” list consists only of titles I've personally played this year, but more to the point, they're games that might just appeal to Christmas shoppers at first glance. In truth, most of the games I mention do have an audience who would enjoy them, but I believe the games don't have the universal appeal that would make them a great gift for most. Most of the games I chose are licensed titles, based on graphic novels, movies, famous characters, and even theme park rides for good reason: These are often the games of disputable quality where other games are unquestionably better.

Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Blade Chronicles Review

Chronic-WHAT-cles of Dragon Blades!

Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Blade Chronicles is a video game. It’s a game with voice actors. What’s more, it’s based on characters and their alignments in the Naruto manga. What else can I say about the game? It’s a game that took five hours to beat, which is probably a good thing, I would say.
