Activision Reorganizes the Call of Duty Brand

While Treyarch will still make this year's Call of Duty game, newly created Sledgehammer Games will make next year's title.

With the recent departure of Infinity Ward founders, Vince Zampella and Jason West, Activision announced that the Call of Duty title planned for release in 2011, will be developed by Activision's newly formed Sledgehammer Games studio. Activision also announced that 2010's Call of Duty title will still be developed by Treyarch.

Sony Acquires Media Molecule

After the success of LittleBigPlanet, Sony has decided to purchase the studio.

The Playstion Blog has revealed that Sony has completed the purchase of Media Molecule, now making the company a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment.

Endless Ocean: Blue World Review

An incredible gaming experience that surpasses its predecessor in every way.

It isn't often that I find myself surprised by the content of a video game. If anything, I usually anticipate a much better experience than I wind up with, resulting in disappointment. Two years ago I sat down with Endless Ocean, and came away feeling utterly impressed with the beautiful underwater world that Nintendo created, yet unfulfilled by the lack of true purpose provided by its fairly shallow gameplay. So, for the release of Endless Ocean: Blue World, I had my doubts about how much Nintendo could expand upon its original formula, and just how deep a game based on diving could be.

Mega Man 10 leads this week's WiiWare, Virtual Console, and DSiWare releases

This week, Capcom releases Mega Man 10, the latest iteration of the revitalized classic Mega Man series. Also, the Virtual Console returns with Fatal Fury Special, a '93 NeoGeo sequel to Fatal Fury 2, which is complete with 15 characters. Dart Rage and Happy Hammerin' round out the Wii's downloadable offerings for the week.

Original Model PS3 Units Suffering From Severe Glitches

Since last night many PS3 owners can't play games or sign into PSN.

Last night, many original model PS3 owners have had some complaints about their systems and their odd behavior. Many have had issues when trying to log into PSN which is apparently causing their systems to crash. Launching a game for the same individuals is causing a 8001050F error.
