Does Ubisoft's arcade-style Soccer title match up to the many great Wii soccer games?

Soccer video games aren't exactly the most abundant titles on the Wii, but those that have been released have been quite good. The latest in the FIFA series offers a solid experience, Pro Evolution Soccer revolutionized soccer video game controls, and Mario Strikers Charged brought arcade-style soccer to a new level. Unlike each of these titles, Academy of Champions, the latest Wii soccer title, is devoid of any unique attributes, bringing nothing new to the table. It features simplified controls and arcade-style gameplay, however it is much less crazy than Mario Strikers Charged. Nothing else distinguishes the game aside from its Hogwarts-like setting.

LittleBigPlanet PSP Now Available on PSN

Though there was a slight delay, the title is now available for download.

Yesterday, Sony announced that LittleBigPlanet PSP would finally be making its debut on the PlayStation Network. Unforeseen issues prevented the title from appearing alongside its physical counterpart when it released last week.

EA Officially Announces Mercs Inc

Though Pandemic Studios is no more, their legacy will continue to live on with the third entry into the Mercenaries series.

Electronic Arts announced today that the Mercenaries series would be officially continuing. The title, Mercs Inc, currently has not solid release date nor a specific platform, though the Xbox 360 is a likely candidate.

The multiplayer platformer is the thirteenth title to earn the honor.

Following hot on the heels of Bayonetta, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the thirteenth title in Famitsu history to earn the fabled 40/40 perfect score. The reviewers cited that the co-op play and the single play were both enjoyable, as was just moving Mario around the screen.
