Nerds Without Pants Episode 65: Chatting With Liana K

First Erika Szabo and now Liana. I need to move to Canada!

Welcome to an unintentionally bonus edition of Nerds Without Pants! Angelo hosts this episode, featuring special guest Liana Kerzer. Liana is a TV and internet personality who also writes about video games for Metaleater. The reason for Liana’s visit was to talk about mental health in relation to video games, but we had such a great time talking to her that the episode went beyond 3 hours. So we’ve decided to split the Consumption Junction and topic portions of the show into two. Please enjoy a lengthy Consumption Junction this week, and come back for our regular time next week as we discuss mental health and the healing power of video games.

Who Would Win?

Welcome back to the second installment of Who Would Win!

Last week we featured a brutal brawl between a Handyman and a Big Daddy, with Big Daddy seeming to take a majority of the votes. This week, however, we will be showcasing two unique individuals who specialize in different forms of stealth-related combat. In one corner we have Sam Fisher who is extremely proficient with numerous weapons as well hand-to-hand combat, with shadows and light being his own personal form of camouflage. In the other corner is the deadly Agent 47 who is also incredibly talented with many firearms and uses clothing and costumes to blend into any environment.

Nerds Without Pants Episode 13: 2012: The Year in Podcast

We're going streaking!

It’s 2013 and somehow we survived the apocalypse! Time to ring in the new year in style, with a new episode of Nerds Without Pants. This week we’re a nerd down, as Patrick is convalescing after minor surgery. Filling in is the one and only Ty “Fighter”, who long time listeners will know as Rob’s oft-mentioned buddy. Since every podcast is doing their game of the year lists we decided to buck that trend and instead take a look back at the year that was.

Hitman: Absolution Preview

Remember, information is the weapon!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been six years since Hitman: Blood Money hit the scene. It was released in that heady time around the launch of the “seventh generation” of consoles, when it was still common to see games come out for the Xbox and PlayStation 2 alongside the Xbox 360. As such, Blood Money wasn’t technically a seventh generation game; it was designed with the PCs and consoles of 2005 and upscaled to run on the 360. That was my introduction to the series, and even though the game came across as dated by the time I got to it in 2009 I was impressed with the sheer amount of options for completing objectives in every level.

Hitman HD Collection Leaked On Italian Site

A collection compiling Hitman 2, 3 and Blood Money may be in the works.

A Hitman HD Collection consisting of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman 3: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money has appeared on 16 Games, an Italian retail site. So far the listing only shows a PlayStation 3 version, will cost €30, or $37, and has a release date of October 15, 2012.
