It's time to get angry all over again!
Asura’s Wrath wouldn’t seem like an obvious candidate for a whole slate of DLC, considering it’s a new IP that wasn’t aggressively marketed by Capcom. But that’s just what’s in store for the heavily anime-inspired action game. We’ve learned details for the DLC schedule, and it’s surprisingly robust.
Is an interactive anime right for you? Please sit down; Doctor Julian will be seeing you shortly.
Every now and again a game will come along that defies classification. Such is the case with Asura’s Wrath, a mysterious game from CyberConnect2 and Capcom. Announced with little fanfare and even less information, Asura’s Wrath has been a difficult game to peg. Is it an action game? Is it a simple beat-'em-up, ala Final Fight? Is it a modern day Dragon’s Lair? Well, before I can answer those questions, I will need to perform a full physical of your gaming and anime tastes; please drop your pants. No? Well, you’ll need to at least fill out this questionnaire.
New chapters in the story mode are also on the way.
Asura's Wrath is now available and Capcom is already announcing its plans to support the game with extra content. The most interesting piece of DLC is the crossover with Street Fighter's Ryu. The two will seemingly be battling in a Street Fighter-esque framework, complete with fighting game mechanics.
Available now for the PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
The demo for Asura's Wrath is available for download now on the PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Marketplace.
A Good Ol' Sit Down About Games
This week is a little different from the rest. Seeing how it’s been awhile since the four of us have gotten together, we decided to talk about what we’ve been playing. While the discussion starts out simple enough, we manage to stumble upon some interesting topics along the way.
Join Crew 1 along with Julian as we tackle everything Capcom in this week's show.
Who ever thought that haircuts would come to the forefront of a video game discussion podcast? I certainly didn't, but I guess there is a first time for everything. This week is all about Capcom which means fan backlash, zombies, and emo-kids are all up for discussion and that's only the first 15 minutes. Hope you all enjoy and make sure to contact us at PixlTalk@Pixlbit.com with questions, comments, or suggestions you have for future episodes.
The HD remake is done and ready to catch some outlaws.
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD was originally supposed to be released this past Easter. After horribly missing that day, Gamespot has confirmed that the HD remake will be released on December 27, 2011 for the PlayStation Network for $15.
Taking epic (and angry) to the next level.
At first glance, Asura's Wrath didn't seem like more than just another God of War inspired action game. In the following videos and previews however, the non-stop action, unique art style, and incredibly epic set pieces make Asura's Wrath a game to look out for.
