Fighting Fundamentals with JD - Learning the Basics

Blocking, BnB’s and More.

You’ve got your game and you’ve got your character, so the next step is potentially one of the most difficult – learning the basics. At this point, assuming you’ve fiddled around with the game, and at least have a handle on the game’s systems, there is still a lot to learn in terms of playing the game properly. Learning the basics at times makes people feel like they don’t know how to play the game at all. Gears of War: Judgment Review

Grinded Gears

It’s safe to say that the Gears of War franchise has safely secured its place in people’s minds as one of this generation’s most important franchises. Since the beginning, they’ve been innovating and refining the 3rd person shooter genre, introducing things like the modern cover mechanic, and the extremely popular horde mode. 2011’s Gears of War 3 was the ending to the trilogy, and I felt like it ended the series properly. It was hard for me to get excited for Gears of War: Judgment, a prequel starring the wise-cracking Baird. What could be done to improve upon Gears of War 3 less than two years later? Unfortunately, aside from a few changes in the overall formula, it’s apparent right away that developers People Can Fly couldn’t even answer that question.

PixlBit Changelog: April 3, 2013

Comments: exposed!

At some point, somebody (or a group of people) asked me if we had a page out there that displayed all of the comments they left across the site. Of course, that feature did not exist at the time, so I added it to the list of components to create. Yesterday, I stealthily updated the site to include said functionality.

Shin Megami Tensei IV Announced for North America

Relax, April Fools is over. You can get excited now.

Considering yesterday was April 1st, it’s no wonder that some announcements that may seem too good to be true were held off until today.  Case in point, this morning Atlus announced that after 10 years, Shin Megami  Tensei will be returning to the states with the fourth mainline title in the series this summer, exclusively for the 3DS.
