PB & Jason Issue 56: A Solution

This week's PB & Jason revolves around a real solution for Nintendo and its current market problems.

While there's a lengthy discussion of how I believe Nintendo can genuinely find an audience in today's video game marketplace, don't be fooled: PB & Jason has a lot more than that!

Nintendo Conference Reveals New Games, Details, Release Dates

3DS owners can look forward to Monster Hunter 4, Mario Tennis, and Fire Emblem.

Last night, Nintendo hosted a 3DS-centric press conference that revealed a variety of new games, details on existing titles, and a number of release dates and windows. The leaked peripheral that will feature a second circle pad wasn't featured at the show, though details were revealed officially by Nintendo on their website. Hyperdimension Neptunia Review

As I sit here, pondering how to approach a review for the game Hyperdimension Neptunia, my mind begins to wander...

What did I ever do to deserve this?

There's so much disappointment in virtually every aspect of Hyperdimension Neptunia. The concept is creative but doesn't work. The characters were created with seemingly no purpose except to be viewed as borderline risque versions of the companies or consoles they represent. Virtua Tennis 4 Review

Four iterations deep and the Virtua Tennis series is still going strong.

Virtua Tennis has been going strong at this point for over a decade. Having played every game in the series, it’s clear that the gameplay has not evolved much, but that’s because the fundamentals that were introduced in the first game were so solid they aren’t in need of much more than slight tweaks. Instead, Sega has continued to make the game more fully-featured to help draw in new players. Virtua Tennis 4 is impressive in scope, offering a huge variety of mini-games within the main quest, a solid selection of real life tennis superstars, and a motion control centric mode that works surprisingly well with the PlayStation Move controller.
