New South Park Game Delayed

The date just got probed.

THQ has moved the release date of the new South Park game (tentatively titled the Stick of Truth) from 2012 to 2013. It is now scheduled to release sometime in the publisher's fourth fiscal quarter of this year, which means sometime after January of 2013.

New Dragon Ball Z Game Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360

V-Jump Reveals the Successor to Budokai Tenkaichi 3

Several years and countless next-gen Dragon Ball Z attempts later, Namco Bandai has finally revealed the successor to 2007's Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (or Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Meteor in Japan).

Risen 2: Dark Waters Review

Why is it always a kraken? Throw us a nautilus every now and then.

It isn’t often you find yourself enjoying being kicked in the face, but I guess the fantasy of being a pirate has to be grounded every now and then with a harsh dose of how a world with monsters has to work, and Risen 2 has every intention of being a nasty educator. Developed by Piranha Bytes, the house that brought us the Gothic series and the first Risen, Risen 2: Dark Waters feels both familiar to its pedigree and oh-so much nastier.

South Park: The Game Now Named South Park: The Stick of Truth?

The Xbox Live Marketplace seems to leak another.

A listing for South Park: The Game became visible yesterday on the Xbox Live Marketplace thanks to its supposed release date of May 5. However, the listing didn't feature the working title, but instead the name South Park: The Stick of Truth. Complete with correspoding box art, as well as screens that match Obsidian and THQ's latest work, it's likely the two titles are one in the same.

Darksiders II Delayed

Vigil holds the game back a couple months for polishing.

Darksiders was the definition of a sleeper hit. The 2010 release started off slow, but gradually built up steam over the course of the year, gaining an appreciative fanbase for the “Zelda for adults” approach that the game took. While it wasn’t a smash hit, it did well enough to warrant a sequel, which has been gaining hype thanks to its position as a Wii U launch title. Today we’ve learned that the game is getting a small delay, and even though it’s easy for people to speculate that it may have something to do with the recent layoffs at Vigil, the reality is much better news.

Diabolical Pitch Review

Yet another bizarre and engaging experience from the minds that created No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned.

As with anything that comes out of Grasshopper Manufacture, Diabolical Pitch is an interesting specimen. Taking use of the Kinect, the title melds gesture-based gameplay and your traditional gallery shooter, and tops it off with a bizarre story and setting. Rather than a shot out of the park, the spotty controls make this baseball-themed game a shallow shot to the outfield.

South Park: Tenorman's Revenge Review

I'd rather go Tower Defense play.

Creating a South Park game is tricky business, no doubt. It requires equal parts great gameplay, fan service, and humor. What makes Tenorman’s Revenge especially interesting is that it manages to fail on all three fronts. Stiff controls, a lame story, and poor level design make this one of the few South Park stories that you’re better off skipping.

South Park Tenorman's Revenge Has a Release Date

The Xbox 360 exclusive will just make it out before the end of the month.

So what's the logical response to being tricked into eating your own parents in a bowl of chili?  Well, we don’t really know, but Tenorman is handling it by stealing an Xbox 360 hard drive from the South Park boys with an army of ginger robots.  If you want to help Cartman, Kenny, Stan, and Kyle get it back, then you’ll get your chance before the month is over.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare Review

Submitted for your approval: the story of a man fighting against the darkness.

American Nightmare is a smaller, more action focused entry in the series. The backdrop for Wake’s new tale is far removed from Cauldron Lake in the first game, and instead moves into the desert of Arizona. Wake is on the trail of Mr. Scratch, the darkness-created doppleganger featured in the two DLC episodes for Alan Wake: The Signal and The Writer.
