Popular European publisher Rising Star Games revealed their plans to open an office in California. The company's first North American venture as Rising Star Games Inc. will be publishing Akai Katana for the Xbox 360 in Q2 2012, which is developed by fabled Japanese shooter specialists CAVE. This will be the first title from Rising Star Games to be launched simultaneously in Europe and North America.

Doom was originally released for the Xbox Live Arcade on September 26, 2006. The title was a port of the original PC version and featured co-op, as well as multiplayer, along with all of the bells and whistles Xbox Live Arcade games get. Over a year ago, Capcom released the original Dead Rising 2. It starred brand new protagonist Chuck Greene, a character I actually liked. Unlike Frank West, he had a backstory worth caring about, as well as a personality befitting of a hero. In an effort to protect his daughter and deliver her the Zombrex she so desperately needed, he saved dozens of lives and uncovered the origins of the zombie outbreak in Fortune City. For whatever reason, fans didn't like Chuck Greene much and Capcom has since taken strides to nearly write him out of the series. Off the Record goes as far as retelling the same story with Frank West in his place. Given that the retelling comes with a slew of upgrades and an entirely new mode, it's most definitely a better game; however, Frank West still doesn't resonate with me as a character, nor does his signature picture-taking ability as a gameplay mechanic.
Called "Fenix Rising," five new maps will be available.
Epic Games has been supporting Gears of War 3 with the Horde Command Pack, the RAAM's Shadow expansion, and the free Versus Booster Map Pack. Today, Microsoft confirmed the next bit of DLC will be a map pack called Fenix Rising.
