Final Fantasy XIV Getting a Major Overhaul

A remade version of the game is coming to the PC and PS3

Final Fantasy XIV was released in September of last year for the PC and was plagued with bad glitches and bugs. As a result, the PS3 version of the MMO was delayed until the PC version's issues were addressed. Square Enix has now revealed a remade version of the game, set to be released in fourth quarter of 2012. This new version 2.0 will be implimented between October and December of 2012 and then will be release at retail for both the PC and PS3 in the beginning of 2013.

Ex-Rare Employees Form New Studio

A group of four have forged Starfire Studios to build an "always connected" XBLA game.

Starfire Studios is the latest game studio spawned from ex-Rare employees. A group of four, each with over ten years experience at Rare, have formed the new studio to create a unique XBLA title that fuses a twin-stick shooter to a variety of MMORPG concepts. Despite the split from Rare, a second party of Microsoft, Microsoft Studios is slated to publish the brand new title, Fusion: Genesis later this year.

New South Park Game Coming to XBLA

Take on Scott Tenorman and his evil gingers next year.

The second South Park game for XBLA has finally been revealed. This will be the final part of the exclusive deal between Microsoft and South Park Digital Studios that was unveiled two years ago. The first game, South Park: Let’s Go Tower Defense Play! had a decent showing among reviewers, with a Metacritic of 72. While that game featured Stan, Kenny, Cartman, and Kyle in a tower defense setting, the new game is something much, much different.

Grand Theft Auto III 10th Anniversary Details

Phone ports and a limited edition action figure.

No one can deny Grand Theft Auto III's place in history. It created the open world genre as we know it and pissed off hundreds of thousands of parents and senators. The previous entries in the series had a similar idea but it was fully realized in a 3D world with this game. Well, believe it or not, the third entry in the series is turning 10 this month.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augments New DLC

New content entitled "The Missing Link" will be released next week.

Released earlier this year in August, Deus Ex: Human Revolution was released to critical acclaim and now the title will be releasing more content. Eidos Montreal announced that downloadable content will be available on October 18 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Child of Eden Review

After months of Xbox 360 exclusivity, Child of Eden has finally made its way to the PlayStation 3. Was the wait worth it?

Child of Eden is not a game that can be easily described—it needs to be experienced.  At its core it’s a simple arcade style shooter and the controls couldn’t be easier to pick up, but there is so much more to this game than those simple elements.  Child of Eden is a visceral experience in the purest meaning of the word.  Simply put, it’s a game you won’t soon forget.
