Wii U Launching This Holiday, Name Change Rumored

A name change and a release window may have been revealed.

Reuters is reporting that Nintendo's successor, the Wii U, will be released at the end of this year. However, it may be released with a different name according to CVG. Come E3 2012 this June, it is rumored that Nintendo will rebrand the Wii's successor.

Sonic CD Review

You know you want to hear “Sonic Boom” again.

I love Sonic the Hedgehog. That is probably the understatement of the year, as I’ve made my love of the blue hedgehog well known and I know all of the Sonic games front to back. Well, most of them anyway. I didn’t own a Sega CD back in the day so one of the exceptions is Sonic CD. Since its initial release in 1993, diehard fans have sworn by the game’s quality, going so far as to call it the greatest Sonic game ever. Two ports have been released on the PC and as part of the Sonic Gems Collection on the GameCube, but this latest port is the most attractive release of the title. Does it still hold up 18 years later?

Petition Started to Investigate SOPA Supporter and the MPAA

Chris Dodd has been accused of bribery for garnering SOPA support.

Many senators and pundits for legislature have heard negative criticism for their stance on the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), however few have earned as much criticism as former senator Chris Dodd. Sony's Vita 3G Plan Tweaked for AT&T's Data Prices

Sony adjusts their 3G plan to better align with their provider.

AT&T is changing up its data pricing for 3G customers. The wireless provider announced earlier this month that they were doing away with their previous plans:  200MB for $15/month or 2 GB for $25/month. The new plans cost more, but also provide more data: 300MB for $20/month or 3GB for $30/month.

Twisted Metal to Have Online Pass

Despite Dave Jaffe's wishes, the title will require an Online Pass.

Back in December, Dave Jaffe said in an interview that he hopes to avoid implementing an Online Pass, a one use code that unlocks online multiplayer, in the game. Multiple Sonic Releases Today on PC

PC gaming has been hit by a Sonic Boom!

Today Sega announced the release of two Sonic games and additional content, all for the PC through digital download markets. The first title is Sonic CD. The port is based off of the recently released XBLA and PSN versions. If you buy the title on Steam, you'll also get Metal Sonic and Tails costumes for the multiplayer game Spiral Knights.

Sony has announced that their PlayStation Network service will be down today, as they will be undergoing scheduled maintenance starting at 8AM Pacific, and ending at 9PM Pacific.
