PB & Jason Issue 83: A Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich is not a Podcast

PB & Jason is not about sandwiches, it's about video games!

Good thing, too, since you can find a lot of commentary on gaming news in this week's PB & Jason. Things like the real story of Peter Molyneux's departure from Lionhead Studios. Other things, like Sonic 4: Episode 2's Wii woes. Don't forget information on why Cliff Bleszinski thinks on-disc DLC is a necessary evil! Of course, there is more than all this in PB & Jason 83, but to hear the rest, you'll have to click through to find the podcast's download links.

The Legend of Dragoon Soars onto PSN This May

We learn a sequel was also once in the works for the cult classic.

Sony Computer Entertainment hasn’t exactly been a hotbed of RPGs from a development standpoint, but there was a time back in the late 90’s that the genre had the studio’s full attention.  The genre was a behemoth then, with titles regularly gracing the covers of video game publications and garnering respectable development and marketing budgets.  SCEI wished to put forth their offering and the result was the cult classic Legend of Dragoon.

Defenders of Ardania Review

Venture into a fantastical world that will bore you beyond anything you’ve ever imagined!

The visuals in Defenders of Ardania are pretty OK.  And thus ends the discussion of the good things about Defenders of Ardania. Where gaming goes too far and where it doesn't go far enough.

Gender in Gaming has been the controversial hot button topic as of late, garnering attention from big name media outlets like Forbes and Maxim. However, despite the ample attention directed toward this issue, few discussions manage to address the real problems at hand. Instead we often opt for reactionary attacks that continue to drive a wedge between our community, silencing intelligent discussion.

PB & Jason Issue 82: Mr. PB & Jason

Doesn't Mr. Game & Watch deserve a full game to call his own?

This week on PB & Jason: Lies, deceit, evil twins, a wedding, and a funeral! No, no, not really. Instead, there's talk about Kid Icarus: Uprising! Well, let's just say it inspired me to speculate about what could be done to bring back two other Nintendo franchises that are basically dead in the water at this point: Game & Watch and Balloon Fight. What kind of makeover would they get? You'll have to listen to find out!

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D Review

Snake Eater has a hard time seeing the forest for the trees.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is the kind of game that appeals to a very specific audience; an audience that already has unconditional love for the source material, which allows them to overlook the obvious shortcomings of this handheld iteration.  Though there is evidence that suggests that the developers treated this game as more than a simple port, their efforts will likely go unnoticed by those not previously indoctrinated.
