Twisted Metal is back and it looks better than ever.
In my opinion, Sony's biggest surprise of E3 was the reveal of Twisted Metal for the PlayStation 3. I've enjoyed the series in the past, and a new entry in the series is quite welcome as it has been dormant for far too long.

Massive changes to the formula have been made, most of which will alienate the die-hard fans of the series.
Final Fantasy XIII is an absolutely intriguing game. I say this because it has made some of the most radical changes I have ever seen in an RPG, especially for the by-the-book Final Fantasy series. JRPG and Final Fantasy fans are likely to be outraged at the massive overall seen here.

The title focuses on physics-based puzzle-solving and platforming, though there's a little bit of exploration in the mix.

This ain't your grandma's murder mystery.
James Patterson sure knows how to write an interesting story. Right off the bat, the player is thrust onto a crime scene involving a young Asian woman washed up on the shores of San Francisco. James, you have my full attention.
