Earlier today it was announced that Valve has pinpointed a release date for Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Players can expect the upgraded shooter on August 21 on the PC for $15.

Adding Internet Explorer to the Xbox 360 is just the beginning.

Microsoft’s vision for their console is much larger than just games, as evidenced by the fact that at least half of their E3 press conference consisted of announcements that were not specifically video game related. Sega CEO Leaving After Eight Years

Mike Hayes, who ran both US and European operations, will leave later this year.

Sega's US and European CEO Mike Hayes will leave the company later this year. Hayes joined Sega back in 2004 and has helped the publisher transition into digital markets. He was also involved in the acquisitions of Sports Interactive, known for the Football Manager series, and The Creative Assembly, the studio behind the Total War franchise.

Nicalis Bringing 1001 Spikes to 3DS, Wii U

The XBLIG remake is shooting for a Wii U launch release.

An enhanced version of the Xbox Live Indie Game,  Aban Hawkins & the 1000 Spikes will be coming to the 3DS and Wii U, according to Tyrone Rodriguez of Nicalis. The upgraded port will be known as 1001 Spikes and currently the title has no set release date. The 3DS eShop version of the game will launch first, with the Wii U version to expectedly launch alongside the system.

Petition Started to Investigate SOPA Supporter and the MPAA

Chris Dodd has been accused of bribery for garnering SOPA support.

New enigmatic game to be officially outed at Spike's VGAs.

Producer Carousel Continues on Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Another jumps ship on the next Metal Gear production.

It’s been two years since Metal Gear Solid: Rising was announced and we still haven’t learned anything new about the game.  What we do know is extremely limited.  We know that the game is bound for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, that it will star the polarizing Metal Gear cast member Raiden and that the game can’t keep a producer to save its life.
