Nintendo Planning New Side-Scrolling 2D Mario Game for 3DS

Though there's currently no word on whether it will fall into the "New Super Mario Bros." series.

Though only a minor mention in Nintendo's third quarter investor briefing, it seems yet another 2D side-scrolling Mario game is in the works for the 3DS. According to Nintendo, the two Mario games released in 2011 for the 3DS - Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 - are their centerpiece evergreen titles. That information combined with the overwhelming success of both New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. Wii make a new 2D side-scrolling Mario game an easy call.

Never laugh at live dragons.

The Elder Scrolls series is rightly famous for defining what an open world game should be, and Skyrim can arguably be considered the most worthy in the lineage. As the title suggests, the game takes place in Tamriel’s northern most province, a rocky and inhospitable land that is home to the Viking-like Nords. Skyrim Contains Both Cyrodiil and Morrowind

Skyrim's map is bigger than you thought it was!

Skyrim's map is super big but as a PC player discovered, it's even bigger than you thought it was. This player found a gate in the southeastern part of the map and turned on a "no clip" mode to go beyond the gate. There he found an entirely different landscape.

Skyrim Patch Coming After Thanksgiving

After the food and crowds have gone, you can look forward to a fixed Skyrim experience.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is easily one of the hottest games out right now and many gamers are enjoying slaying dragons and collecting books. Bethesda Looking into PS3 Skyrim Frame Rate Issues

Don't worry, they're on it!

Some users playing Skyrim on the PlayStation 3 are having frame rate issues when their save files reach 6 MB. It's not known how widespread this issue is but enough have brought up the issue in Bethesda's official forums and now Pete Hines, Bethesda's VP of PR and Marketing, has issued a statement.

Skyrim Fans Win Free Bethesda Games For Life

All they had to do is name their child Dovahkiin.

Back in February, Bethesda Softworks challenged its fan base to name their child Dovahkiin if it was born on 11/11/11, the same day The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim would be released. In return, Bethesda would give the parents free Bethesda games for life. Well, Megan and Eric Kellermeyer are the proud parents of Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer. Bethesda released this statement: "Be it the real world or the game worlds we create, we wish young Dovahkiin the best in all his adventures. And if Alduin ever reaches this realm, we’ll be in touch."
