Microsoft's European arm now headed by former competitor.
Peter Molyneux shocked the gaming world last week when he resigned from his posts at Lionhead and Microsoft’s European gaming arm. It was only logical that Lionhead Studios' co-founder would take up Molyneux’s position there, but Microsoft went another route entirely.
Major Nelson confirms the rumored changes.
Earlier today an anonymous source tipped off xbox360achievements.org that some changes are coming to the total number of Gamerscore points and achievements Xbox Live Arcade titles can have. Starting on April 1, each XBLA title can carry double the number of achievement points, going from 200 to 400, and 10 more total achievements, increasing from 20 to 30. Major Nelson has since confirmed this information, also revealing that starting in June, all XBLA games will mandatorily carry 400 Gamerscore points.

Peter Molyneux, the man behind such well loved franchises as Fable, Black and White and Populous has announced via Twitter that he has left both Microsoft and Lionhead Studios in order to join a brand new company.

Former Lionhead Studios staffers Dene and Simon Carter have formed Another Place Productions, a new UK-based studio, according to Joystiq. Both brothers worked on the Fable series and have brought with them several other members of the Fable development team.
EverQuest Online Adventures among the titles going down.
Sony Online Entertainment has announced it is taking down four MMOs from the last generation. EverQuest Online Adventures, Cosmic Rift, Star Chamber and Infantry will be no more on March 29, 2012. To help with the transition, SOE is offering players of EverQuest Online Adventures a 3 month Gold Membership to EverQuest and EverQuest II starting March 16th.
The game is confirmed to have no relation to the Kickstarter-funded Double Fine Adventure.
UPDATE - The Cave is confirmed to not be the official name for the Double Fine Adventure, which is being financed by their Kickstarter fund. The following was released by Double Fine: "While we can't comment on unannounced projects, we can say that Double Fine's Kickstarter-funded adventure game has not been started, designed, or even imagined yet. No trademarks have been filed on its behalf."
