Microsoft Unveils Kinect Fun Labs

The new permanent addition to the Xbox dashboard will be available today.

In line with the Kinect-heavy Microsoft presentation, the company announced the latest major feature and service for the Kinect, Kinect Fun Labs. The new functionality will be available starting today and will be a permanent new addition to the Xbox dashboard. During the presentation, the company showed off a few different applications of the technology and explained that it was made completely with the community tools that have been made available since the launch of the Kinect.

Harmonix Announces Dance Central 2

During the Microsoft press conference, Harmonix blew the top off of the follow-up to the best selling game for Kinect.

Dance Central 2 was announced today by Harmonix during the Microsoft press briefing. The game is set to offer a variety of new content and features, like the ability to perform simultaneously with another player via drop-in/drop-out multiplayer. Players will have access to over 100 songs later this year when the game launches exclusively on the Xbox 360.

Halo 4 and Halo Anniversary Announced

Microsoft's press conference reveals a double dose of Halo.

Today, Microsoft announced at their press conference that two Halo games are currently in the works, with neither being developed by series creators, Bungie Studios. Instead 343 Industries in conjunction with Microsoft Game Studios are developing the two titles, Halo Anniversary and Halo 4.

Halo 4 To Be Announced at MS Press Conference?

A leaked image from Microsoft's E3 site says so.

This is sure to take the wind out of Microsoft's sails during their upcoming presentation. It appears Halo 4 is due to be announced, alongside a number of other Kinect games. A screenshot from Microsoft's Xbox E3 page discloses a return to the Halo universe with Halo 4. The page has since been removed, but click the attached screenshot grabbed from when it was still available.

In a list compiled by management consulting firm A.T. Kearney, Nintendo tops a list of forty companies, including Google and Apple.

According to BusinessWeek Nintendo is the Best Company of 2009. Management consulting firm, A.T. Kearney compiled a list of the top forty companies of 2009 for BusinessWeek of which Nintendo topped companies like Google (taking second place), and Apple (third).
