Little King's Story Coming to Vita This Summer

The much beloved Wii title gets a sequel on Sony's handheld.

Konami showed that it has a few surprises up its sleave by announcing that a new Little King's Story will be coming soon for the PlayStation Vita. The Action RPG will only be available on the PSN as a download only and will be available for purchase this summer. The game will be a follow up to Little King's Story originally on the Nintendo Wii and developed by now defunct studio Cing.

Pikmin 2 Wii Release Date Announced

Donkey Kong Country Returns and others are also receiving price cuts.

Nintendo announced via press release yesterday that two popular titles will be augmenting the Nintendo Selects collection. Chief among the two is the recently announced US release of Pikmin 2 for the Nintendo Wii. The GameCube favorite will be released on June 10, 2012 and will retail for $19.99. Pikmin 2's primary upgrade are new controls that take advantage of the Wii Remote.

New Play Control! Pikmin 2 Finally Coming to America

The latest issue of Nintendo Power revealed the localization.

With the recent news of a new Pikmin game being shown at E3 this year, North American fans of the series now have even more to be excited about. According to the May 2012 issue of Nintendo Power, the Wii port of Pikmin 2 will finally be coming to North America this June.

Nintendo Announces New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS, Kirby Anniversary Collection for Wii

New 3DS updates are also on the way.

Today, Nintendo revealed plans to release the third New Super Mario Bros. title, New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS. The game will feature Mario, Luigi, and a slew of recognizable characters with the same side-scrolling gameplay suitable for players of all ages. The title is due for release this August, but no specific date has been revealed.

Crysis 3 Now Officially Exists

First story and pre-order details also outed.

Last Wednesday someone somewhere accidentally listed Crysis 3 on Origin.  The listing was, of course, almost immediately pulled down, but the internet never forgets what has been posted on it and soon the gaming media was abuzz with articles like this one.  Later in the day, EA issued a statement that declared, "The best kept secret in shooters just can’t be contained.  Stay tuned for more information on April 16th."  Well, April 16th is here and EA has delivered on their promise.  So just what did we learn today?

Obsidian Entertainment Employees Laid Off Due to Metacritic Score

South Park RPG and unnamed next gen title affected

Joystiq has reported that Obsidian Entertainment was struck by layoffs this week, affecting staff across the board.  As a result, staff currently developing the South Park RPG were let go, and an unnamed next gen project was canceled.

Newton vs. The Horde Review

Occasionally humorous dialog can't prop up this mundane venture.

Physics simulations have always made for fun playgrounds; whether you're just tossing objects into stacks of blocks or using the elasticity effect to rocket an object across the screen, it's mindless destructive fun. Logic would dictate that tossing in a few game objectives would make for an instantly enjoyable game, but with Newton vs. The Horde the resulting product is the exact opposite.
