Witness the original arcade Donkey Kong get beaten into the dirt.
Please note that this review will not cover 3DS Virtual Console or Super Game Boy features.
I have a confession to make: I hate the original arcade Donkey Kong. Yes, sneer at me all you want, but I have good reasons for disliking it so much. While I have been very spoiled by Mario platforming adventures, his first battle with Donkey Kong is not something I eagerly replay. Note that this is coming from someone who enjoys games like Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug (notice a pattern here?); I will admit that the original DK arcade game has some sound elements that would set a benchmark for Mario’s debut, but with those awful jumping mechanics Donkey Kong isn’t a game I rate highly.
A rundown of the multiplayer mode, plus footage!
Assassin's Creed was a brand new experience for me and a fun last game on my second day at E3. In the multiplayer mode I got to try, two sides faced off as either assassin or prey in a castle courtyard in Constantinople. The prey would run off and try to blend in among the inhabitants and the assassins would – can you guess? – that's right, they'd hunt them down and kill them. Boy, you're good at guessing.

Kinect took up a lot of E3 real estate this year. The fish bowl-shaped windows made for interesting spectator opportunities.
Matt is PO’d again, and the house of Mega Man is in his sights.
If there was one video game company during the NES era that seemed to almost one-up Nintendo in terms of quality games, it was Capcom. Whether it was releasing games starring the blue bomber himself or making great licensed Disney games, they could do no wrong. They continued this with the SNES, the Playstation 1, the Gamecube, the DS – and people loved them.
It’s not the deepest experience on the 3DS, but it’ll certainly keep you busy for a good long while.
Last year, I had my first taste of the Samurai Warriors series and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. While heavy on the hack ‘n’ slashing, the game still provided for a bevy of interesting objectives and some frantic pacing as you rush about the level to meet all of the expectations. Not only were the objectives varied, but the experience was dynamic. New objectives were presented each time I went through the level, changing and morphing based on the state of the battlefield. Samurai Warriors: Chronicles falls very much in line with its predecessors, with improved graphical fidelity and a fully-voiced presentation.

Third Strike is back again, and better than ever.
Street Fighter 3 was released about 13 years ago. The game and its updates, Second Impact and Third Strike, were often overlooked in favour of the Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4 series. But true fans haven’t forgotten about 3rd Strike, and Capcom has taken notice. Thus we get Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition, which aims to be the premiere version of the game.
