Xbox 360: It’s Not Just for Gaming Any More

Adding Internet Explorer to the Xbox 360 is just the beginning.

Microsoft’s vision for their console is much larger than just games, as evidenced by the fact that at least half of their E3 press conference consisted of announcements that were not specifically video game related. Their new services cover all the entertainment bases; movies, music, TV shows, streaming video services, smart phone integration, social networking, and even fitness training leaving almost everything covered in their quest to dominate living rooms the world over.

E3 2012 Predictions

The PixlBit Staff sounds off before this year's big show kicks off.

Each and every year E3 brings about the biggest gaming announcements of the year and this year appears to be no exception. With the Wii U coming later this year, the 3DS and Vita picking up steam, and the next generation looming on the horizon, we're surely going to see some megatons dropped. But what will they be?

Jury Rules in Favor of Epic in Silicon Knights Lawsuit

Epic awarded $4.45 million.

The lengthy lawsuit between Silicon Knights and Epic Games finally came to a close on May 30 2012, with the Jury finding in favor of Epic on all counts.

Power A Air Flo Controller Review

If we sweat, do we not bleed?

Confession time: My hands sweat.  They sweat a lot.  You may not think it matters, but it can lead to some awkward situations when passing around a controller in a fighting game tournament with friends. Naturally, when I found the original Nyko Air Flo controller for the original Xbox, my friends and I breathed a collective sigh of relief.

Activision Reportedly Pays Former Infinity Ward Employees $42 Million

The trial will still commence on May 29.

Just when you thought it was safe to forget about West and Zampella, the former Infinity Ward employees who sued Activision over unpaid wages, new reports have surfaced from multiple sources indicating the Call of Duty veterans have received 42 million dollars from their former employer.

Rumor: Kinect-Enabled Internet Explorer Coming to Xbox 360

Microsoft to finally catch up to.. the Wii? Wait a second...

While people have speculated on Internet Explorer support being added to the Xbox 360, only recently has a rumor surfaced that brings any credibility to the discussion.  While we don’t have news of an integration plan, or an official announcement from Microsoft, it seems that IE’s appearance on your 360 dashboard is imminent.

A truly rewarding experience

These days, same old same old just does not cut it.  When an RPG from Japan comes around that promises to be different, the modern gamer is understandably cynical. Thankfully, with a unique world, a fresh take on in game relationships, and an excellent use of in game rewards to encourage the player, Xenoblade Chronicles delivers the refreshing changes and modernizations many of us have been looking for.

Double Dragon: Neon Preview

It’s all '80s, all the time.

Double Dragon is one of those games that everyone has played, or at least heard of. From its humble beginning as an arcade brawler, the franchise has gone on to make an appearance in some form in almost every console generation. The original title was ported to nearly every available system at the time, including the Atari 2600 in 1988. (And you thought this console generation was long!) Brothers Jimmy and Billy have been in one on one fighting games, have teamed up with the Battletoads on the SNES, and had the Double Dragon world predominantly featured in a completely over the top fan tribute to the NES called Abobo’s Big Adventure. Needless to say, Majesco and WayForward have some pretty big shoes to fill.
