I was listening to the Brainy Gamer podcast today and heard about this new indie publisher Press Select. Their mission is to publish books about videogames. So if you're thinking about doing a longer form piece, they may be someone you could submit to. Here's their web page link: http://pressselectpubhttp://pressselectpublishing.com/blogs/news/8672969-welcome-to-press-selectlishing.com/blogs/news/8672969-welcome-to-press-select

This is pretty great because let's say you've been writing blogs on a particular topic for a while. Well, maybe they could all be collected into a book and maybe Press Select might be interested. I mean this is the first publishing house that I can think of focusing on videogames. It's something I'm going to investigate and keep in mind if I come up with a long form idea.

The History of the JRPG: Origins and It's Continued Influence. How's that for a title?

You're right. I gotta make it more exciting.

I wouldn't mind buying a book about the whole Silent Hill Series or Persona series for example. I should start writing. Ready. Set. Go!

Survivable Horror: Scary Video Games and the People Who Love Them. How's that for a title?

Perhaps a collection of old video game ads?

The Story of Video Games as Told Through Their Ads. How's that for a title?

That's a good sub-title. Gotta really bring 'em in with the big title. You've got time to figure it out while you're scanning and compiling all of your content, though. Wink

I'll have to find a particularly crazy ad and use its tag line as the title and then subtitle it so people know what the book's about.

This sounds really cool. Looking forward to what they'll put out.

On a related note: Jenn Frank is the voice of Super Hexagon?! I love Super Hexagon!

Jenn is popping up all over the place. She's on Press Select's list of people doing books for them in 2014.
