I'm back with gathering rewards on Xbox. Hopefully the auto-redeem will work at the end of this month. And when retro and GP are done, back to current games. 

...'Cause my weekend is midweek. Well, I'm doing this routine where I collect rewards on Xbox, then play my retro adventure ('77-'83 this month), do any Game Pass quests and then play the highest rated game I have access to. So here goes:

I wanted to list everything but what I played and liked within Atari 50 filled up enough space for a blog, so here 'tis. 

This was another week in Gen 2, tunes on Xbox, a new process to include current games, and I solved my rewards problem. 

It's February and I have begun reviewing Console Generation 2, or rather, the years '77-'83 and all games both arcade, PC and maybe even board games. Here goes:

I only had half a day to game this week because of jury duty in the middle of the week. Still, I ripped through quite a few different titles. I kind of like playing games this way because it's like going the arcade back in the day. I play a little of this and a little of that. Fun. 

I got really fed up with brick breakers mainly because the Xbox controller is just terrible for these games. I watched a youtuber complete NES Arkanoid with the Arkanoid controller you could get for NES. THAT is what I need on Xbox. I may try and get that thing. So, I added some other games to my list and began the deep dive into pinball. Here's all:

These darn brick-breakers, that is. I've been trying to play the earliest gaming styles on Xbox to coincide with my console Gen 1 theme this month. It's been a struggle, and compromises have been made, but it's also been fun, if at times frustrating. Gen 1 might get a miss from me next year if I do this again.

I started this month by making a puzzle I found at Goodwill, but then I needed to watch Philly Eagles highlights, and so I hooked up my Xbox, and now I'm trying to limit my playing to the earliest type of video games. I've started up Gamepass quests again, though, so the rules bent a bit. Here's what all:
