BOO!  I’ve got some goodies for all you trick or treaters out there!  Game reviews I’ve recently written at GamerDad.com for you all to read!  Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe even post a ‘like’ or comment or two.  I’d appreciate it. 

A while back I reviewed the PlayDate, a new handheld gaming device that has a crank on the side that you can wind to control some of the games.  The other unique thing about this device is how you get the games.  They come two at a time and are downloaded automatically on the handheld each week on a Monday.  I talked about a few of them when I wrote my initial review, but since I didn’t have all the games yet in ‘season one,’ I said I would talk about more of the games later when I get a good amount of them.  So now that I’ve got a few more, let’s go over what they are here!

Pac-Man World: Re-Pac was recently released, and it’s a remake of Pac-Man World, a 3-D platformer originally on the PSOne to celebrate Pac-Man’s 20^th anniversary.  Pac-Man World may not be one of my favorite Pac-Man games, but I have a lot of special memories about it that I thought I’d share with you in this blog.  Plus my opinion on the remake, what has changed and stayed the same, etc.  So grab a bowl of Pac-Dots and let’s get chomping!

Start your engines!  For this episode we have a listener suggestion.  So my brother Jeff and I talk about our top five favorite racing games!  There’s some on here you can probably expect and guess, but I bet you’ll find a few surprises as well!  So let’s put the pedal to the metal and dash to the finish line!  Ready, set, GO!

Way back in 2019 when I went to PAX West in Seattle, I saw a new handheld console called the PlayDate.  It was simple, yellow, and had a black and white screen.  And a crank you turned on the side!  And it was just as charming as heck and I wanted one for some reason!  Well I finally got one, so let’s take a look at it!

Can you believe Klonoa has been around for 25 years?  That makes me feel REALLY old!  I remember when I first played that game in college and reviewed it for The Dallas Morning News.  If you don’t know (and shame on you if you don’t), Klonoa is a series of (mostly) 2D platformers by Namco.  And they’re really good, too!  The quality of these games really had an impact on me and they’re some of my favorite titles on the PSOne and PS2.  For the 25^th Anniversary, Namco released a collection of the PSOne and PS2 main games, which we’ll talk about here.  But we’ll also go through the other games in the series as well!  Oh yeah, there may be some spoilers here and there, but I’ll warn you when they come up.

We’re celebrating a couple of milestones with this podcast!  First, it’s our one-year anniversary since we started doing this podcast.  And second, this is our tenth episode!  So to celebrate, here’s a special episode where my brother Jeff and I talk about our favorite music/rhythm games!
