I remember playing the original Splinter Cell on the PS2 way back in the day, and while I liked it, I didn't keep up with the franchise as it continued. This was around the time I stepped away from gaming in general, though. It wasn't until a couple months ago that a friend and I wanted to play games that weren't just CoD multiplayer, which is the majority of our shared gaming experiences.

In my earnestness to have games to play on the PS4, I preordered Infamous Second Son and excitedly picked it up on release. If you've followed my blogs even a short while, you know have a horrible habit of putting up games nearly unplayed.

I wasn't interested in Killzone until recently. I purchased Killzone Shadow Fall when I picked up my PS4 and my intrigue grew. The setting is a fairly standard good vs evil thing, but it's interesting enough for me to pick up earlier Killzone games to see what else the universe offers.

I have been gone WAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY too long. I actually feel pretty bad about that, but work kept me away from gaming and most of life for a while. But I've been laid off, so now I have a bit of time to devote to writing and gaming and writing about gaming and maybe some gaming about writing (anyone know any writing games? Call of Duty: Elements of Style).

A bit of warning: I have Far Cry 3. It's one of the games that's on my backlog list. One of the many, many games. I'll get to it eventually. I promise. Really, I will. Don't harass me anymore!

I haven't opened the laptop in a while, but I thought I should do so and let you guys know what I'm up to.

Not much to say, actually.

In 1999, I bought a Playstation after seeing a fried of mine playing Final Fantasy VII. I was so impressed at how it looked and he was giddy about having spent 50 hours playing and not being close to finishing. I'd played on a Playstation before, but hadn't been taken with it until that point.

So I just picked up Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes for the PS4. Normally, I'd be upset at the price tag for what's supposed to be a 2-3 hour game, but I'm a huge Metal Gear fanboy so doing such would pull me apart. I will play Metal Gear and I will play it ASAP.
