I live in Longmont. It's not too bad in my little portion of the city, thankfully. It's nuts everywhere else though. I'm hoping this shit lets up soon, but it's looking like it's probably going to resume raining here fairly soon.

A bit late, but happy birthday!
Man I feel old...:(
I liked Olivia's kill, if only because she was sawing off a chunk of her face moments beforehand, and went all ape-shit on that dude with a hypodermic needle. Sure, she just got bludgeoned to death with a piece of toilet, but everything leading up to that point was awesome. :D
"Humour didn't come into Evil Dead until the second movie."
Exactly, Blake! Any humor in the original Evil Dead was unintentional, and was owed to Bruce Campbell's cheesy acting, as well as the low-quality special effects. It was awesome to be sure, but like you said, humor didn't come into the series until the sequel, a fact that few critics seem to be aware of. It's almost as if their appreciation for the original is lip-service at best, and that none of the fuckers have actually watched it.
Anyway, I loved the new Evil Dead. I especially dug how it subverted audience expectations. Mia's brother seemed set to end up the hero, which made it all the cooler when it turned out to be Mia herself. I caught it in the theater, and had a blast.
I'm also really stoked by Riami and Alvarez's plans for the follow-ups. Alarez wants to do a sequel to this flick, and Riami a sequel to Army of Darkness, and then they plan to merge both Ash and Mia's narratives in a third flick. That seems like a kick-ass idea to me, but to be fair I'm a huge Evil Dead fan, so chances are good that I'm not as objective as I could be. :P
That's what I thought. I could check my copy of Hyrule Historia, but it's downstairs and I'm too freakin' lazy to be bothered. :P
He also showed up in the Clone Wars cartoon. :D
Guacamelee is awesome. I really ought to finish it sometime.
I feel ya. I had the same experience just recently, and did the same thing. I figure I'll get one when the games justify the purchase, which at the moment they don't.
I suppose. I bought it because I genuinely dig the series, but it just didn't click with me. I think I maybe played it for a couple of hours and then it just sat on my shelf collecting dust until I got off my morbidly obese ass and sold it. Either I'm getting burnt out on them, or the game just wasn't all that great, but whatever the case may be, I'm not exactly chomping at the bit for the next one at this point.
I know. I don't disagree with you, I was just clowing on you for the sheep comment. :)
