About to start my first playthrough of the original Dark Souls soon! Very, very excited for it, and I have a feeling it will definitely lead to a Dark Souls 2 pre-order!

I will definitely check it out! That song was pretty awesome - very unorthodox (in a really good way) sounding metal band. Thanks again dude!
Thanks for the tip Rodney! I seriously love how everyone has this knowledge that they stumbled upon through a playthrough, and they share that. I am going to keep a little book with the advice people have given next to me while I play, so I don't forget all this stuff!
Thanks again man!
P.S. I just gave a first time listen to Maudlin of the Well (the song was The Ferryman) while reading your article, and I have a sneaking suspicion this band matches the vibe of Souls really, really well.
Not playing GTA at the moment either. While I do love open-world games, something about GTA in general just doesn't grab me for some reason. Not saying that it doesn't look impressive or that I don't intend to play it, it's just I prefer games of that nature to be based in a world that takes you somewhere new and different, as opposed to being set in our world.
Dark Souls is up next for me, and I am very, very excited . One open-world title coming in the future that I am anxiously awaiting is The Witcher 3.
Hands down my favorite console of all time! Congratulations on that incredible find, and you're certainly off to a solid library foundation with those three titles. Any titles in particular you'll be hunting for?
Elder Scrolls games definitely do have their Gothic moments, especially the Soul Cairn in the Dawnguard DLC - I explored that place for hours! I would definitely like to see more realm exploration going forward in TES.
And there will definitely be some cool stuff being featured for Oblivion in The Elder Scrolls Forge soon
Glad you checked them out again! And I agree, that BLEAK ENB is just too bad-ass for words!!
This is awesome Travis! It's amazing what some Pixel Art will do to liven up an environment - I totally marked out for Link and the Donkey Kong flame! The Dig Dug characters are great, too. Keep images of these coming!
Just read your article, Blake, and holy shit I am even more excited to play this now! Awesome write-up with an awesome message, man.
Thanks for the tips! I will definitely heed your advice - it's actually something that I find really incredible about the community around Dark Souls, because due to the game's lack of hand-holding (thank god!) players offer eachother tips on where to go and what to do. I don't know if gaming has seen community interaction based around sharing knowledge this prevalent since the original Legend of Zelda.
Thanks again, Blake! I will certainly be hitting you up for some advice in the near future!
