It was suppose to be the ultimate move but theyy also wanted to keep in the mystery and fear so essentially they hid it. As a form of accomplishment the Sky/Heaven symbol appeared like a badge of honour.

Well lets be honest almost all the Gears characters are bad so it was always slim pickings. Mind you as bad as I think Coltrane is I think he'd be better.

Haven't played through either in years as well, but the memories are still vivid. FF6 is weird there's the god Kefka battle, the boob joke in the bar and the world breaking but the opening sequence was somthing that stayed with me the most.
