Yeah the only other Metroid game I've never been able to beat was Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.  So I'm not BAD at Metroid games.  That last boss in Dread just sucks!

According to Nintendo's records, The Great Ace Attorney is my 2nd most played game this year on the Switch. 1st was Animal Crossing. :)

That's one of the reasons why I do a GOTY blog halfway through the year, to honor those games that get forgotten during the Christmas rush.

Oh yeah, amiibo figures work with Switch games.  They still make new amiibo figures, too.  Remember I recently wrote about the ones for Metroid Dread.

I like those Christmas Skylanders.  It's crazy to think that the toys to life thing was just a fad.  But it sure was a fun one.

I didn't buy any Skylanders, but since I reviewed all the games, I got a lot of them through that.  The toys are really cool, though.  I doubt Activision would re-release the games with the figures digitally like how Skylink did, seeing as how money grubbing they are now.

I got the first Disney Infinity game but I feel like they missed the mark on how toys to life games are supposed to work.

But LEGO Dimensions nailed that aspect on the head and did it right, I feel.  I have a whole bucket full of them since I reviewed a lot of the expanion packs and such.  I love how they implemented other game properties like Portal, Sonic, and Midway classics into it.

I have all the Nintendo amiibo ever released.  Even the ones from Japan only.  I'm very proud of that.

I have a Donkey Kong Jenga set.

Your pretend present is a real life He-Man sword!  It really works, too.  Just hold it above your head, say, "By the power of Grayskull," and then you'll turn into a muscle bound warrior.  And if you aim the sword at any pets you might have, they'll turn into ridable battle animals!

Congrats on getting a Switch.  Now you can get addicted to Animal Crossing!

Advent Childern was a lot better than Spirits Within, but to me it felt like a giant invisible kid was playing with FF7 action figures.  And they threw a cell phone commercial in it, too.

Oh yeah, the cutscenes in Luigi's Mansion 3 are just dripping with personality.  Toad looking over the dashboard to see so he can drive the bus.  Or Luigi doing the standard animation for getting a new elevator button, and then realizing it was just inside a ghost rat that swallowed it so he holds it back and goes, "Bleh!"  Or E. Gadd laughing at Luigi every time he gets scared.  So great.  Had the Link's Awakening remake not have been released that year, Luigi's Mansion 3 might've won my GOTY award for 2019.

I have that pinball collection.  Pretty great if I remember correctly.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within had nothing to do with Final Fantasy.  I was a bit confused.

The Double Dragon movie is really, really, bad, but also fun to watch in a B-movie, MST3K sort of way.

I think I've seen most of the Resident Evil movies, but they all kind of meld together.  I guess it helps that I don't play the games.

The Chun-Li movie was so depressing!

The DOA movie was bad, but I don't think it was THAT bad.

But I couldn't sit through the live action Super Mario Bros. movie.  And that's saying something, considering how big of a MST3K fan I am.  I just don't think Mario would make a good movie, even an animated one.  Mario games are great, but they don't have enough substance to carry a movie.  If you want to make a movie with Mario characters, do Luigi's Mansion.
