Ads from the 16-bit Revolution

Posted on 07/11/2013 at 08:54 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I remember all these ads, I also remember wanting a Lynx for just how good Rygar looked compared to the NES version. It also had a good port of S.T.U.N. Runner. I bout a Lynx used a couple years ago with a few games. Too bad it didn't succeed, if the price was right at launch it would have wiped the floor clean of all this GameBoy and GameGear stuff. Also, the TG:16 was a fun system, the games had their own feel to them, like super charged NES games with lots of color.

So this is what I did last weekend

Wow. That is amazing, so glad you guys could save the chicks. Its pretty heartbreaking to see stuff like that happen, but heartwarming to see the parents continuing to feed the chicks despite the nest being blown down. We have some black bears in the area right now. They generally don't come around here so its fun to see them around. I havn't seen one yet but my Aunt did and took a picture that was shown on the news.

So here is a folky duo you might be interested in. They are called Loves It! from Austin. They came though town and played a free show in the park. The girl has a great voice.

I have a Steam account but my PC can't run newer games, so mostly indie stuff that don't take much to run.

Some thoughts.

of course I"d read them. I don't really have any titles to suggest, but I know there are a lot of those drive-in compilations on DVD you can score cheap with all kinds of slasher / horror flicks from the 60's and 70's

Chrozi is revealed! Now officially writing for PixlBit. (sorry)

I'd like to be, but I can't. I don't have the time to play one title over and over just to make a number that means nothing go a little higher. I admit I get a sense of satisfaction when I complete all the achievements, but I think they should happen more naturally as you progress through the game than, like SanAn said, spamming boring parts ad nauseam.

So sad. I'm not familiar with his work but it doesn't matter. He was one of us. Condolences to everyone feeling the loss.

Phish is playing the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Saturday and I'll be there. Fish doesn't have to pay the fee anymore so he is patching the game. This goes for any developer now.
