I've never played it but I've heard the legends. Obviously a classy game. Horror is hard to do right. I like the Shining too. That movie is freaking scary.
It's easy to surprise people, but it's hard to create an atmosphere of dread. I find much more entertaining.
hey glad to see another 1upper here. I love JRPG's too, but it's not because of the brooding pretty boys.

I have never made it through this game. I didn't have it for the Sega CD, and my first experience with it was on the PSP. I could stand the fact that the music faded out when you entered a building or different room, and then faded back up. It was constantly doing that as you were exploring and it drove me crazy.
I bought it for my iPad, and liked that version much better. But I haven't won that either. I really need to play it, it's a great game.
Never played the second one though. I agree, it would be nice to have a new one. I feel the same way about Grandia and Skies of Arcadia.
hey thanks for the update, Spunk a Dunk. That Maestro game looks pretty interesting, and I guess you can't really go wrong for $3. That's like half a pack of cigarettes.

I will probably get both eventually too, but I really don't think Xbox will have any better launch games than PS4. They might.... who knows now, but the track record of all the companies show that they won't. There will be some nice games, but no system seller yet. And I'm personally not interested in another Halo or Gears of War game. I mean, 360 launched with Perfect Dark Zero? I dunno, systems almost never launch with great games.
I'll still buy that crap though.
I played this a lot, but I never got tooooo far. I played it a lot on my gameboy though, that's for sure.

You're right -- the PS4 doesn't have a system selling game yet, but I hope it will. But neither did the Wii U, or the 3DS, or the Vita. They're all having slow starts. But the 3DS is really hitting its stride now, and I imagine the Wii U will too, around xmas, a year after launch. That might be the case with the PS4 too, unfortunately.
Am I gonna buy one? Yeah, I think so. Maybe i'l go for the xbox, but I lean towards Sony a little bit, especially because of the xclusives.
my biggest recommendations for PS3 exclusives are Journey and Heavy Rain. They are both not for everyone, but if you like them, you'l love them.
