my local news website used to let you post comments anonymously, it was one of the most deplorable cesspools of negativity I've ever seen. They finally decided to make you use facebook to post comments and suddenly everyone was pleasant as pie. So yeah, this was a good thing.

Why did “The Last of Us“ get a “free pass” when the "Xbox One" didn’t?

I'm going to chalk it all up to presentation. everyone felt like MIcrosoft was standing there with their arms folded telling everyone "This is what Xbox One does wether you like it or not. Oh, here are some games, too". I think if Microsoft focused on games first and gradually introduced the more invasive technology as they won us over there wouldn't have been such a protest. I didn't even know Last of Us had an online pass, all I've ever heard is what an awesome game it was. The positive aspect of the great game outweights the negative aspect of the pay to play. Xbox did not show enough positive with their negative. There is no INCENTIVE to put up with MS's shenanigans.

Tell me you didn't just say that: an open letter to Anita Sarkeesian

I didn't know who she was. Just googled so I'm hip to it now. Perhaps she should have said it was too hard for HER instead of speaking for every female out there. Other than that, I feel really bad for all the harrassment she had to deal with regarding her kickstarter.

Blaster Master - Full Reboot, no sequel. And they should change the name to S.O.P.H.I.A. and make the truck semi sentient.

I second Snatcher/Policenauts. Kojima needs to STOP MILKING MGS

Shinobi. Even if its a HD remake of Revenge of Shinobi on XBLA

My take... Overall I LOVED the movie. Particularly for the effects, the action, and the fighting. This was the first Superman movie to show what kind of destruction can happen when two Kryptonians REALLY go at each other on Earth. The battles were so badass I teared up a little. And Krypton was AMAZING, perfectly alien yet familiar. I also like the fact we dont' have to pretend Lois can't recognise Superman with glasses on. And I like the darker tone, we've had enough bubblegum Superman. This guy needs to exist in the same world as Dark Knight, we do have a Justice League moving coming, afterall.

I do have nitpick gripes though;

Lois Lane was pretty much cut and paste. Anyone could have played her, I don't think whats her name owned it. Same with Supe himself, he fit the bill but I don't love him the way I love Christopher Reeve.

Also some of the editing was a bit janky, The transitions between some of the scenes were too harsh and felt slapped together. I think some scenes were cut out and when they stitched it up it got hacky.

 Nick Swardson has a good take on todays movies. He said he loves all the big budget popcorn movies like Transformers. He said if someone in the 50's were to see these movies today they'd be running out of the theater screaming shock. Today we just go "eh, it sucked, bro". Sucked? DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THAT SCREEN!??!!?!?

I think in a country that takes pride in its freedom of speech to lay such heavy social penalty on someone who said they said something a long time ago is disgusting. So many lying hypocrites. I'm not a fan of Deen but she doesn't deserve this.

And my only question in the Trevon case is the 911 call where you can hear the screams for help. The courts are trying to figure out who was yelling for help? Well, If you are strapped and being attacked, wouldn't you at least brandish the gun for defense before you yelled and screamed for help? Sounded like a kid begging for his life to me. Busy-body should have minded his own business in the first place.

Now how about the Aaron Hernandez story, the Patriots player accused of murdering someone near his home, which happens to be 5 miles from where I work.

We both heard about the fee due to the fiasco with Fez, as most of us. Microsoft better be ready to start kissing more butt.

Same here. I never had anything against Sony but XB was just more affordable and Xbox Live is great.
