Yup, the demo is actually what made me envy it graphically.

I really should have applied that rule to Supermassive Games' "The Devil in Me" chapter of The Dark Pictures Anthology.
I guess I'll never see the end of the game, which is frustrating considering how close I got.
Ghost Trick and Elite Beat Agents are some of my favorite games.

I love this console but it's also the one that turned me into a REAL annoying Nintendo fanboy.
There was a lot of XBOX-hate that 11-year-old me only really engaged in because I knew I had to pay for my own consoles due to our money situation (with lawn mowing money from mom and dad but still) and knowing GCN was the cheapest console.
But I probably could have had a girlfriend a lot sooner if I hadn't been so passionate about it.
I remember being jealous of how great Oddworld looked on XBOX, but in hindsight I'm not sure it's really my kinda game.
I played a lot of typing games too, on account of my mom being the computer teacher when I was in 1st to 8th grade ...
My best memories of this would be jealousy over all the games this got that didn't come to GameCube; like, how was Psychonauts not perfect for the GCN?!
I played Metal Gear Solid 2 when I was old enough and after my brother was done with it, then Guilty Gear X2 ensured Guilty Gear became my favorite fighting series when I rented it, and you can't forget that its success story was largely thanks to it being a cheap DVD player.
So ahead of its time ... Never owned one, but it was doing a lot of stuff later consoles would only hop on board with much later.
