I've been thinking about this stuff too.  It's amazing how those first experiences stick with you and how deep that love goes.

hey like the drawings a lot.   I like the pencil shading. everything is on computer these days and I misss old school shading.

the saddest part about the end of 1up were the contests no one would play.  I'm guilty of this too, as there were some I wanted to take part in but life got in the way, and only like four or five people applied to win.  Pretty pathetic.  

I think if both the bloggers and the staff provide content, there will be enough to keep people around. 

I might get my twitter back up.  I'm not really into podcasts though, but I'm gonna try to participate and check out everything else you guys do. 

thanks, Nick.  I just think it's important for me to do my part to keep what I love to keep going.  I'm excited about the future!

well, it's not guilt exactly, but more of a need to do my part. I realize now how fragile these communities are, and I want to assist in keeping them around.  

yeah it's very rewarding to be more active. I really enjoy it.  It's a lot more... interactive.  :)

yeah, me neither, man.  I mean, sometimes I did, in the beginning, and that's what got me there in the first place.  But that was quickly supplanted by my friends' blogs.  

I haven't check Julian's FF blogs yet, but I will.  I very much enjoyed the Etrian Odyssey article though.
