Goings on while M.I.A

congrats on the coming baby.  there's few things as exciting or breathtaking.  I've never enjoyed the pleasure of my own children, but I have spent a lot of time with other people's.

I'm actually more interested in reviews for smaller releases, everybody is going to review Crysis and Revengeance, but I want to hear about A Valley Without Wind 2, or Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, stuff that's a little under the radar.  I'm all for obscure PSP reviews, I still give mine a lot of love, and still buy new games for it (mostly downloadable, though I got Gungnir last month).

It's my belief that if you offer stuff different than the other guys, people will find you.  I don't know for sure if it's true, but I like to think it is.

hey thanks for the welcome.  it means a lot.

Where is our beloved gaming industry headed?

I find solace in the indie scene, of sites and developers.  the indie scene is so vibrant now it's actually insane, and a lot of smaller, great games are being made.  sure, the AAA games will alway take less risks, but smaller franchises, with digital distribution will make out okay.

Why 1UP was important to me

everything ends, I guess.  this was a really nice blog.  1up really meant a lot to a lot of people.
