Well, I watched it because Sourcefed told me to, basically, but I too watched it sometime last week I think. lol It's a good one, though I think my favorite of the Disney muicals is still Aladdin.

Shan Yu never bothered me either. As an adult, I can see why some might say he's a low-rent villain, but when I was a kid, I found him pretty cool, honestly. You're right though, the movie doesn't really need to focus on him, anyway.
I did not know that about his bird. Probably should have looked up what it was supposed to be, since I am not great at identifying birds, but oh well. I guess I will just look ignorant and potentially be called profane things by Youtube commenters. lol
Well, I would say they are equally adult. I definitely wouldn't recommend either if your brother is really, really young, that's for sure; but I guess you know that if you saw the first one.
This one is basically longer and more fleshed out, but they do rush through some of the stuff from the original series. For instance, the first FMA anime had a certain character's (my favorite)'s death as kind of a halfway point. In Brotherhood, that happens really early on, I think in the first season. They also add more characters, and the composition and art style change a bit, I'm guessing to appear more like the manga.
I do like the way they fleshed it all out a bit more, and I like a lot of the new characters you see, so it's definitely worth checking out I think, cause while it still has the same essential plot points, it's very different from just plain FMA.
I think I've been watching too much Last Airbender. I am starting to think in terms of what I imagine would be Uncle Iroh quotes. lol
I think I saw Crackdown II when my friend was downloading Assassin's Creed II. Guess it was the first one.
