Good timing, Cary! As I commented under you review just now, I didn't have any problems with choppiness or hit detection. I was playing on my iPhone rather than an iPad, so maybe that's why...?

Aaaaaaaaaand you just told everybody...
That's the American spirit!
Sorry to hear that you're feeling so down. I'm sure that rough job change must be a big part of that. I hope things pick up for you soon.
It's great for short bursts of play. You'd probably dig it.
I haven't heard of that one but I'll have to look it up
I have not heard of this Tennis in the Face, though I bet Tennis with Your Face would be pretty fun!
I have a dowsing rod app that leads me to the good games
(It's mostly Touch Arcade, though sometimes I just take a chance on something that looks good.)
I played Song of the Deep last year. Great little game. You might also want to take a look at SOMA. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments supposedly has good stories even if the mechanics are a little wonky. I have that one but haven't played it yet. If you have someone to play with, Broforce and Magicka 2 are both great, dumb fun (yet challenging) co-op games. Perhaps a little shooty, but I'd recommend them. And there are two remastered LucasArts classics on PSN, Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle.
I can attest to the awesomeness of this remake! This game has so much content. It even includes a faithful re-creation of the original game with the new assets. Sucks that it didn't sell well enough to warrant a Powered Up 2 and 3
