Some people perceive me as a social butterfly but offline I have as many friends as I have fingers on one hand. This bloke probably doesn't even have one "real friend". (I mean besides for his Rosey Palm...the only "woman" who will give him the time of day. lol.)

I agree with you on Kratos. The first game did a good job in his portrayal. (Even if I thought certain parts were just repeats of the stories I read in HS involving Hercules) In the first game he was a family man driven to kill his own family by Ares and that was a perfect motif for revenge against the gods. However, that doesn't excuse the fact the other games lost sight of the original vision and butchered every likable trait of his personality.

   As for Dante? He's an attractive pretty-boy cheeky showoff. I think deep down he means well (Protecting us from demons and all that rot) but he's still kind of shallow. Everything people like about Dante is based on his looks,style, and fashion choices. (I still want to try the reboot though despite the venom it gets from fans)

   Concerning the first two hours of TR? They were rife with qtes but I still managed to enjoy myself. Not in a perfect "home run" kind of way but more in a "I like where this is headed and all I have to do is be patient" kind of way. I'm glad I did too because the game really opens up later on!

   Still,let me know about the Podcast! It's been fun listening in on you guys! 

I like it a lot it but my friends are divided down the middle on it. Seems to be one of those love it/hate it kind of affairs for most people. lol.

I think a teen rating is misleading too,Jon. I would have slapped "Mature" on it myself. However, Andres probably isn't North American so maybe his culture has a different outlook on what is adult oriented content and what is not. We often forget the whole world doesn't march to the beat of the same drum. lol.

I think the problem is "hyped as fuck" equates to "piece of trash" for many gamers. Can't it simply be "hyped as fuck" yet "A decent game with some flaws"? That's my problem I guess. Too often I fall in the middle of two extremes. Personally I think TombRaider is a good yet imperfect game. Maybe it's not "GOTY material" but I wouldn't call it complete rubbish either.

Secondly, I'm not implying an "action platformer" cannot have good character development and a great story. However, these games do tend to move at a faster clip than say an rpg. If you want to trash Lara that's okay. But I wouldn't say I was "intrigued" by the stories in God Of War or DMC either. Hell, when compared to Kratos and Dante Lara is STILL much more human. I'm not saying I "hate" the later two protagonists but I will admit I did not play their games because I "liked them". I played their games because of the nice scenery,epic boss fights,and awesome fighting physics.

  Overall you have good points,Blake. I just can't understand why you WANT to HATE this game so much. Is it only because it's "overhyped" or do you have a better reason to go after it with so much disdain?
