This is an interesting development. I don't know that there's any reason to doubt that this is Cafe related, so the question is, what does early mean?

Seems like it could actually coincide with this year's 3DS launch, which feels like an awkward launch time, but could play out big for Nintendo. If there are a number of titles available by holiday 2012, Nintendo could have some stand out title by then that makes a strong case for casuals to pick up the system, especially if they don't have something like Wii Sports available for launch.

I guess we'll see what happens, but I'm thinking we are going to continue to hear more on Cafe before E3 hits.

Guilty confession: I still haven't played Brotherhood even though I bought it on launch. I'll have to get into it when I'm not totally behind the ball.

In other news, I have mixed feelings on this information. I love AC, but a third game with Ezio? Seems to be a bit overkill. I suppose my hype might be up a bit after I play Brotherhood, but I think part of the reason I haven't dove into that one is because I played a whole lotta AC I and II. Guess we'll see...

So it looks like Sony just dragged their feet on this because they were scared to tell users how badly they screwed up.

If you have used PSN before, cancel whatever credit card you had linked because it's possible it was stolen. The hackers also have your PSN name and password, your name, phone number, address, email, and birthday. Probably worth putting a fraud alert on your name, just in case someone tries to steal your identity and get a line of credit.

Well, this is an interesting development. I have to wonder now if any of the other rumors carry any weight.

The outlet who originally leaked the Project Cafe codename also leaked the whole screen in the controller business. It definitely gives that rumor some credibility, though I'm still having a hard time understanding the viability of that one. Either way, this year's E3 just got a lot more interesting.

I'll let Chessa throw in her two cents, but I know that she has expressed some similar complaints while playing through this.

Personally, I'm a little miffed that the game doesn't have more than one save file. I guess I'm holding out for a 3DS version too, Nate, because at least that will provide me with another slot to save my game in.

Yeah, that's exactly the problem I have with Gears of War. I'm sure you like it more than I do, but it definitely gets boring. Pop and cover shooting is done by everyone at this point, and while Gears was the first series to really mainstream it, it feels no different or better at this point.

This is in large part because there's not much else they could do with the formula to improve it and because they pretty much hit the nail on the head with the cover mechanics giving everyone else a really solid blueprint to go off of. So now everyone is on par and Gears just blends into the sea of pop and cover third person shooters.

This is a series I've really tried to enjoy, but I just can't. It's so unbelievably boring to me. Some of what you describe here sounds like an improvement, Rob; however, I'm curious to see if the single player received the boost as well. Past missions have been a bit too redundant and bland to encourage me to continue playing.

This sounds awesome. Totally impractical, but totally awesome.
