Yes, yes yes yes.... My absolute favourite song from Metroid Prime. Phendrana Drifts is great, but I love the music in the derelict ship.

I think that I had two fairly unproductive months this year as well. When I say unproductive I probably still finished a game or two. Look at December, one of my most unproductive months and I still beat two games.
I like how your awards are based on the games that you played, not necessarily the games that were released this past year. Tearaway and SteamWorld Dig were probably my favourite new games I played this past year, but Metroid Fusion was my favourite game that I played this year. I say that because I beat it a good half dozen times this year...
I have twelve achievements left at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to finish those before the guy updates it again and adds more. He put out a Christmas update that added a 6 or so more acheivements to the game. It sounds like he is working on adding dungeons to explore...
Tearaway had been on sale for the week or two before Christmas both at Gamestop and on the PSN. I am starting to wonder if I would have loved the game as much if I had spent the full price on it.
A Link Between Worlds is amazing, especially so if you like A Link to the Past. Tearaway is just an amazing platformer, I don't feel quite so bad having missed out on Super Mario 3D World because I did get to play Tearaway. It is a tough decision.
Marathon was my first FPS ever, so I have been a fan of Bungie for quite some time. That is probably the biggest reason that I have been a fan of Halo. That and probably the voice actor that they got to play Master Chief.
I think that Halo did a lot of things right. I loved how the levels were huge and actually felt like a battefield. I love how you know exactly who you need to kill in multiplayer, they are going to be either red or blue. I cannot tell you the difference between any of the weapons in the current Call of Duty games, but I can tell you exactly which weapon in Halo is best in each situation. Regenerating sheilds make so much sense in a purely science fiction universe, not so much in the Call of Duty universe.
I think that Halo worked as far as its arsenal is concerned. Every gun was unique enough that I could actually see the benefit to using different weapons in different scenarios. I couldn't tell you the difference between any of the weapons in the current Call of Duty games.
The one thing that always bugs me with FPS games is that I ditch the starting weapon early in the level and somehow at the start of the next level I have managed to get it back. I hate the default assault rifles that games give me.... that is why I get rid of them ASAP. The worst is when you know the level takes place right after the last and there is absolutely no way in hell that your character could have found that gun, fully loaded.
The one game that I think was awesome, but I do not see in nearly enough lists or even mentioned in lists is SteamWorld Dig. All of those PC indie games seem to get priority over the handheld indies.
I remember messing around with North and South through NES emulation a while back. That game was fun as can be with 2 players.
It is amazing how many psp games have been ported over to mobile phones. It is crazy how far phone tech has come over the years.
I have not played a Call of Duty campaign since Call of Duty 2. It was mindless fun and pretty much forgettable. I have no idea what was going on with the story but there was at least one level that I enjoyed. It was the underwater one that they showed in the trailers and such. I have had difficulty getting into the multiplayer. Halo has effectively ruined all other multiplayer for me. I am hoping very much that Destiny can bring that style multiplayer to the PS4.
I know that my brother will enjoy dmc and Bioshock Infinite. I am most excited for Don't Starve on the PS4. I was also surprised by Infinite's inclusion, but 2K must know what they are doing.
Hmmm.... Forums... Interesting. if only I understood what the purpose of them is.
