Pickups and Plays Galore

Posted on 05/26/2024 at 07:52 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I got Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on Switch as well.  Still as good as I remember it.

The best part about F-Zero X was the random track generator, perfect to even out two player games.  But you have to unlock it.  Luckily there is a secret code you can enter to get it, because it's way too hard to unlock normally!

My review of Little Kitty, Big City will be up next week.

Yeah all the dog characters in Bluey are based on real dog breeds.  I want to get a real Blue Heeler and Red Heeler and name them Bluey and Bingo.  And I'm sure they'll be just as well behaved as they are in the show. :)

There's a touristy shopping area where I live called Grandscape, and I read that on June 4, you can buy 5 dollar tickets to get your picture taken with Bluey and Bingo and get a goody bag, too.  Tickets sold out the next day!  Also in July, Bluey will make an appearance at a minor league baseball game stadium near where I live called the Frisco Rough Riders!  I bet that sells out, too!

I probably wouldn't remember a thing from a book I read a few years ago.

Sneak Peek at the Early 2000s

Posted on 05/19/2024 at 08:01 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Early 2000s were full of ups and downs for me, but mostly ups.  Really good games on some of my favorite consoles like the GameCube and PS2.  Metroid Prime and Wind Waker on your list are great.  Other GameCube favorites of mine include Animal Crossing, Smash Bros. Melee, Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2, Luigi's Mansion, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, and so much more.  PS2 had a lot of good ones, too, like Taiko Drum Master, Mr. Driller, Klonoa 2, Katamari Damacy, etc.  Even the N64 and PSOne had a few good stragglers like Banjo-Tooie and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne.  And the GBA launched, too.  So many great things on that.

You didn't 'stick' with it?  I see what you did there. :)

I can only read one book at a time.  If I did more, I'd get which plots and characters mixed up!

Games '95-'99

If you count the 5 PSOne Namco Museums as a whole, which I do, i consider them one of my top five favorite games of all time.
