Theatrhythm Final Fantasy DLC Dated, Priced in Japan

The Tales games have passed completely under my radar, so that wasn't me. But I love quirky rhythm games and I love Final Fantasy music, so I really want this. Wish it was on DS, though.

This is the game I want a 3DS for. Not even kidding.

Final Fantasy X HD a Remaster, Not a Remake

This is the one! The voice acting is awkward by today's standards, but the battle system is one of my favorites in the series.

Mass Effect 3 Achievements Revealed

I may actually play through the multiplayer content on Gold for that final achievement, as playing Mass Effect 2 on Insanity was a hair-pulling experience that I would not care to relive.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Director Talks About the Controversial Ending

I didn't go into full detail in my review for spoiler purposes, but the ending of Final Fantasy XIII-2 was so infuriating that it made me lose any interest in doing the post-game content, which appears to be the opposite reaction it was supposed to ellicit. It factored into my final score for the game, and now that I realize that the "to be continued" ending is a ploy to drive DLC sales makes me even more angry.

I'm glad to see Square Enix taking steps towards DLC, as it can extend the life of an RPG, but this is the wrong way to do it. The game is already structured to allow for DLC easily without giving players an ending that pulls the rug out from under their feet.

The Simpsons Arcade Game Review

I wish that the same care had been given to the Konami arcade beat 'em ups as what Capcom did with the Final Fight Double Impact collection, but this is a definite purchase for me.

I guess I just assumed that's what this is from the announcement. Final Fantasy X is one of my favorites in the series, and I can't wait for the PS3 version.

Solid choices, all. I feel bad that I haven't played many of the JRPGs this gen, and the ones I have played I didn't care for. Lost Odyssey and Last Remnant were two of the games I traded in, and I haven't played a Tales game since PSX. Dark Souls is in my backlog, though.

NeverDead Review

Yeah, the idea of a character that can't die and can keep going even when torn apart was a cool concept. It's a bummer that it turned out this way. I was going to comment that this is exactly what I was talking about during the Japanese episode of PixlTalk, but this game was developed in the UK. It seems as unpolished as Bullet Witch, Onechanbara, and Tenchu Z that I just assumed it came from Konami of Japan.

You know what's sad? I watched this while acting out the voice work from the original game, because the script is identical. I may need to buy the original PSX game for the 6th time...
