Yeah, I deleted the initial post, it had some serious formatting issues and it was easier to trash it and start over than to find the problems and fix them.
I'd say skip Vesperia and just move on to Xillia. I had a hard time getting interested in Vesperia for some reason and it sits, unplayed except for maybe the first 30 minutes, on my shelf collecting dust. Had a hard time putting Xillia down.
I found a working GG at the Salvation Army thrift shop once for $10, and that included a case and four games. I have Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Ecco the Dolphin, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I also found the manual to Jurassic Park in the case, but no game to go with it. Bull Moose Music here in Maine frequently has GG games for cheap, but never ones I'm interested in. The sound doesn't work on the GG, but I think I can get that fixed at one of the local indy retro games shops.
I generally don't play scary games. That said, I had a moment in a point-and-click horror game that made me jump and scream, believe it or not. It's at the end of the first episode of The Last Door. Suddenly, there's a crash and all these crows bust through a window at you. In my defense, the music is very eerie.

Flower is amazing. It's one of the only games that really uses the 6-axis controls to their best adcvantage that I've played. And the music is so soothing. When I was having anxiety issues from my last job, playing Flower really helped calm some of my anxiety attacks.
Tryptophan is the stuff Matt's talking about. It's in turkey, too. So if you don't want milk (it doesn't have to be warm, by the way), you can always eat a turkey sandwich instead.
I can't game if I'm trying to get to sleep. Gaming wires me. I usually read or watch something I've seen a million times before. Believe it or not, one of my go to movies when I need to drop off is Die Hard.
