The NES version is apparently very different from the arcade version, but I'd try that sometime if I come across a copy.

Yea, at first I was just putzing along and got hit from behind over and over again. I was like "what's up with that?". Then I was reading the wiki page and it mentioned switching gears by pushing up on the d-pad, and I went, "ah! I knew something was wrong."
My friend had the NES version. I turned my nose up at it. Should've tried it though. Might have been easier.

That Capcom Collection is very cool because it has all the 194x games. . . or three of them. I forget now.
