I've been watching videos of games a lot just to see if I want to play them, or find out how the heck anyone can beat such a difficult game. Last time I looked at a gameplay video though, I wanted less chatter and more gaming. One guy took like three minutes just to create a character in a pc rpg because he was constantly talking about the history of the game and strategy. I was like, "JUST PLAY THE DAMN GAME!".

However, I really enjoyed watching The Spoony One doing an Ultima retrospective. For a long game like that, it's nice to have someone rip through it and give you the highlights as well as be funny as heck (http://spoonyexperiment.com/game-reviews/ultima-retrospective/ ).

Oh and one more thing for intros to Let's Play programs. Make them SHORT. Some guys got this incredibly long intro. It's so self indulgent. No one wants to see that long intro over and over again.

My friend has his Gamer tag up and running on Xbox 360, so we'll probably dig back into EDF 2025 and play it like 10 hours straight both Sunday and Monday. I guess my Nostalgic Vacation is over, but I have like four blogs half written still because I haven't finished the games for them. I'm going to try and squeeze them in somewhere but nothing gets in the way of the mighty co-op.

Don't watch much but LastNinja's video game cartoons from his latest blog. 

Just finished 100 Years of Solitude by G.G. Marquez. Fantastic. Still reading Watchmen, Freud's Interpretation of Dreams and Rachel Carson's Silent Spring.

i just copied out the song in the show. "we're more than happy to kiss your rear end." really made me raise an eyebrow. So I had to write it all out.

My friend at work is talking about using armor upgrades to increase his level from 23 to 24. 

Yea, some people are putting so many hours into it already. What the heck are they doing? Don't some people have homework at least?

I just overheard a woman ordering an iPhone 6 at my regular coffee house haunting ground. 

I haven't been able to upgrade my itunes for months now. Every time I do things go kablooie. I gave up on it after a few failed attempts. Darn PCs!

It would've been cool on the Dreamcast. There weren't many shooters there. I played some Quake Team Arena and MDK2, but that was about it.

Most reviewers put the PC version above the console ones back then. I was still playing on PC (I played Red Faction on PC before I played the PS2 version) but for whatever reason I didn't play Half-Life until I started collecting for PS2.

On IGN Podcast Unlocked this week they were already talking about whether Bungie would do a Destiny 2 or just keep adding DLC. Seriously? Talking about a sequel ten days after the game is out? What's the matter with people? Also, worrying about the story this early in a game that's clearly going to release a lot of additional content is just silly. People are so darn impatient. It's borderline insane.

What's that level where you have move down a circular room with a giant monster in the middle swinging tentacles all over the place? That was a real pain last time I played it.

Yea, I was thinking that it might be. . . yes, it's for Episode One - the long one. Trying to get that garden Gnome into the missile was really hard. I didn't get that one. Fun trying though.
